Corset Dresses: from Lingerie to Everyday Fashion

It seems like the corsets are everywhere. It’s been a long-lasting trend of over 2 years now, and it doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon.
In spring/summer 2023 season a corset doesn’t have a strong connection with something frivolous anymore. Some fashion houses have managed to include boning and bustier tops into pretty covered pieces that could be worn even to office.

Colorful Dresses: Monochrome and Colorblock

Since last-years Valentino all-pink collection, bright colors and monoсhrome outfits are definitely staying. Bright pink, blue, yellow and green are colors that were present at least in a third of spring/summer 2023 collections.
If you think that going that bold is a bit too much for you, try introducing a single item of your outfit in a bright colour.

It’s All in the Hardware: Eyelets, Rivets and So On

In spring-summer 2023 fashion is taking a look back at the beginning of 2010-s with its stud obsession. Do you remember the iconic Valentino Rockstud line? It looks like the excessive hardware is coming back, but in a slightly more subtle form. The eyelets, rivets and studs are not as aggressive: this time they are mimicking jewellery and lace detailing on the fabrics.
We’re super excited to see the Chloé SS2023 collection in store. It had many pieces that were decorated by exquisite use of hardware. For now we suggest taking a look at the dresses by Alexander McQueen and Paco Rabanne.

Office Wear: Sheath Dresses are Back

Sheath dresses are very much in fashion in spring/summer 2023. They even might escape the offices and become an everyday fashion item, since their presence in the new collections is so evident.
In mini, midi or maxi length; in materials from leather to wool – many people would be able to find the perfect fit for themselves.

With gas and electricity prices being sky high this winter season, we can anticipate a great increase in sales of warm loungewear, pyjamas and slippers. Think flannel, cashmere and fleece.
The thing is, these items are going to be on the to-buy list for every family member (and pets, too!).
Retailers can anticipate a big increase in the sales of such products as soon as the heating season starts, as well as many people will buy these things as gifts.

The first are UGGs. The mega trend of 12 years ago is rising once again. But in a very particular form: the bestsellers are the ultrashort ones. The Classic Ultra Minis are available in a wide range of colors, and we expect both bright ones and classy ones to sell out pretty soon.

Cashmere Knitwear and Other Luxury Fibers

Over the past several years we can see a great increase in customers’ interest in premium natural fibres, like cashmere, mohair and merino wool. All of these are winter fibres, and we can expect consumers to pay more and more attention to the composition labels.
With the rise of heating prices, people trying to slow down on fashion consumption and consumers becoming more conscious of the composition, sales of natural fibre knitwear and jersy are expected to go up.
Moreover, these pieces are making a great gift, since with bulky knitwear the gift giver doesn’t necessarily have to be very precise with sizing.

Low-Rise Jeans are Coming Back

With the rise of Y2K fashion, all of its aspects are becoming trends. Such as low-rise jeans, for example. The only big difference is that the fit of the low-rise denim is quite different: no skinny jeans and no crop. The longer – the better, the wider – the trendier. While corsets have been in fashion for the past 3 years, corsets in denim are a relatively new trend. In spring/summer 2023 fashionistas will rock denim bustiers and corsets of denim made with boning. For the upcoming season even the most iconic fashion houses like Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier, that are famous for designing lingerie and shapewear, have come out with their own versions of this item in jean fabric.

When we’re talking about denim, we don’t mean only jeans and jackets. Let’s not forget about skirts. Mini, midi, maxi – they are all going to be trendy in the spring/summer 2023 season.
When we think of the latest revival of denim skirts in circa 2014 during the spike of the Tumblr era we remember a lot of references to the 90-s fashion with mini skirts that were buttoned up in the middle.
Now the style has changed. We see more of the 70’s and 00’s silhouettes, more straight fits and extreme minis.

The fashion of 2000’s has made a major comeback. And a big part of it is a lot of bling! It can be crystals, it can be rhinestones, it can be glitter: anything that will make your jeans shine in the crowd is a win.
Remember, how 20 years ago celebrities used to show up to red carpet events in their favourite pair of jeans? Well, now it can be a little more appropriate, and denim trends 2023 really allow us to do that.

Wide-leg jeans are a good example of a slow trend. It was born around 2 years ago and is still growing. It definitely contributed to the look of the most trendy denim of spring/summer 2023 – slouchy baggy long-leg jeans. The only major thing that might have changed is the dropped waist.
